Gardening and homeware chain used Voodoo to grow sales
Homewares store Robert Dyas started trading in 1872 in London with a single store. nearly a century and a half later this number has grown to over a hundred stores dotted around the South of England. The shop now sells anything you can imagine for the domestic setting, from furniture, electronics and garden items to consumables.
Robert Dyas already had a leading e-commerce platform, but this was proving frustrating due to a lack of flexibility and high running costs, partly because the company that installed it had little e-commerce experience. After a recommendation from Heals, another Voodoo client, Robert Dyas asked us about our e-business platform, PHAROS.
Robert Dyas liked what they saw. The brief was to supply:
It was vital that the transition between the old and the new system was as unnoticeable as possible.
Voodoo's complete overhaul ran like clockwork, with final implementation being achieved two weeks ahead of schedule and under budget. But the main benefit to Robert Dyas has been a saving of over £40,000 per year on their setup's running costs. Our simpler, more purpose-built solution has also resulted in greater reliability, particularly in the tricky cross-channel sales technology.
We are so glad Voodoo were recommended to us. During tough economic times they managed to save us serious money on our IT system whilst improving conversions on the website.Jonathan Wilson - Head of E-commerce, Robert Dyas
